With 3 three amazing mountain ranges (The Galtee Mountains, The Knockmealdowns and The Comeraghs) surrounding Cahir, it is the ideal location for outdoor enthusiasts, especially Hill Walkers. The marked hiking trails in the area consist of both Easy & Moderate grade trails and cover some of our countries most picturesque landscapes in the country.

Biking
The areas surrounding Kilcoran Lodge Hotel are as appealing to mountain bikers and cyclists as much as hill walkers as there are an abundance of biking trails around the areas offering varying levels of difficulty.

Kilcoran Lodge Hotel is within easy travelling distance of no less than 6 top golf courses, boasting some of the most challenging parkland courses in the country. Sitting just off the M8 motorway, Kilcoran Lodge is ideally centrally located to organise Golfing Weekends taking in rounds on several courses.

Fishing
The River Suir has long been a Fisherman’s delight for Trout and Salmon fishing. The town of Cahir is built on the River Suir. Everyone from the total beginner to the most experienced fishing enthusiast can pass a very pleasant day by it’s unspoilt banks. It is renowned as one of Europe’s finest dry fly rivers for wild brown trout.

If you’re looking to do something a little more junior, there are plenty of activities suitable for kids in the area with everything from Mini-Golf to obstacle courses and playgrounds within an easily reachable distance of the hotel.
